You dropped my Vision Plan! Why would I keep coming to you?

We now only take one vision plan (VSP) plus Medicaid and Medicare. Why visit us if we don’t take your insurance?

  1. Since we don’t take many insurance plans, we can afford to give you a large discount on your exam and glasses/contacts. Our eye exams start at $115 and INCLUDE retinal imaging; our emergency office visits start at $60 (and Dr. Neka often has Rx eye drops needed for pink eye/etc on site, for no extra charge). We will provide you with paperwork to submit for partial reimbursement.

  2. We are one of the few private offices left in Longmont that hasn’t sold to Private Equity. We aren’t dictated by any corporate entity to carry certain frame lines or try to push certain contact lens brands. We are truly independent!

  3. Dr. Neka is the sole owner of the practice. This means that she calls all the shots. A few tidbits about how she prefers to operate her practice: It is very important to her that you have very little wait time for your appointment, that you can get in for an appt within 1-2 weeks, and that you always feel you have access to communication with her via email/phone.

  4. Our 2 primary opticians have close to 40 years of combined experience. We have little staff turnover; most our staff members have been with us for close to 10 years.

  5. Dr. Neka will take into account your typical day to day activities to decide what makes sense for you. She very much enjoys the bread and butter of optometry. That is, formulating an exceptional eyeglass or contact lens Rx that hopefully eliminates your eye fatigue and headaches. There is a true art to “which is clearer 1 or 2?” and she has great love and respect for this art.

Q: Why is this happening?
A: Your insurance company's restrictions have made it very hard for us to keep providing the same level of care that we take great pride in. 
Q: Can I still see Dr. Neka?
A: Of course! Now that we're out of network, your exam will be discounted to $115 ($199 if you wear contacts) and will include retinal imaging for FREE. We'll provide you with the website you need to go to in order to submit for partial reimbursement from EyeMed. For those on MEDICARE, know that Medicare covers eye exams; we are happy to check into this for you!

Q: What if I need glasses or contacts?
A: We'll always provide you with your Rx after your exam so you can shop around! We also now provide an eyeglass package deal that is sometimes cheaper than going through your EyeMed insurance. Should you choose to purchase from us, we'll show you how to submit for partial reimbursement!
